SELVA EDU
A project by Bucce Studio in collaboration with the Made in Art Association, curated by ife collective
Funded through a public call for proposals for initiatives aimed at the cultural and social regeneration of small historic villages, to be funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Mission 1 ‘Digitalisation, innovation, competitiveness and culture’, Component 3 ‘Tourism and Culture 4.0’ (M1C3), Measure 2 “Regeneration of small cultural, heritage, religious and rural sites”, Investment 2.1 “Enhancing the appeal of villages”, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and managed by the Ministry of Culture”.
Selva Edu is a programme exploring the intersection of art and ecology to promote the mountain region, run for and with the boys and girls of Santa Fosca Primary School in Selva di Cadore.
The project comprised a variety of activities designed to co-create new models of engagement with and imagination of the local area, where art and ecology could engage the youngest generations through a guiding question: how do we experience our world and how might we imagine it? At the heart of the project was a process of learning and engagement with the local area and communities, comprising eight classroom-based training sessions with ife collective and the Made In Art Association, three experiential workshops in collaboration with Falegnameria Dell’Andrea and Chiara Cecconello, a multi-sensory tour led by Laura Torresin, and a final live event to present the results at the Vittorino Cazzetta Museum.
